Chairman of Dong Xoai City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Binh was honored to attend and receive the Vietnam Smart City Award in 2022 for Dong Xoai City. Attending the event were leaders and information technology teams, in charge of the Smart City Monitoring Center (IOC) under the City Council & People's Committee office.
 Along with Dong Xoai city, there are 45 units nationwide that are excellent units in smart urban construction and development selected by the Organizing Committee to award the Vietnam Smart City Award in 2022 in the fields of: : city operating, intelligent management; smart transportation and logistics city; attractive city for start-ups and innovation; smart applications are being deployed, applied practically, bringing efficiency to people, businesses and social communities; solutions for digital government; solutions for: smart city technical infrastructure; smart travel; smart payments; education, health, agriculture, energy, environment, construction, factory, building, smart apartment.....
Dong Xoai city, Binh Phuoc province; Da Lat city, Lam Dong province; Pho Yen city, Thai Nguyen province are 3 units awarded the Vietnam smart city award in 2022 in the field of intelligent management and operation city.

Each unit will receive a smart city certificate in 2022 and a symbolic gold cup.
With the view of improving the quality of life of the people, putting the people as the central factor, so that people can step by step accompany the government, Dong Xoai city has chosen to develop in the direction of a smart city in order to develop a smart city. exploit the advantages of culture, geographical location, human resources and resources of the city.
Specifically, the city promotes information technology application solutions to all activities of the city, builds and puts into operation the Smart City Operation Monitoring Center (IOC), towards modernization of city management. State Administration; reduce administrative work through many levels of management; publicize and transparently handle the time of administrative procedures; limited administrative paperwork; saving travel costs and time, creating a foundation for the city's digital transformation, bringing efficiency in state management and economic development; contributing to promoting administrative reform, improving management capacity and efficiency; better serve people and businesses; help city leaders operate, manage conveniently and scientifically. Currently, the IOC Dong Xoai has connected and shared systems including: traffic security cameras, scene reflection, socio-economic management supervision, public service monitoring, education system, health care, etc. smart urban lights and GIS geographic information system.
The fact that Dong Xoai city received the "Smart Management and Operation City" award in Vietnam 2022 is an evaluation and recognition of the great efforts of the city's committee and government. This is a very meaningful gift on the occasion of Dong Xoai city turning 4 years old, since the city officially came into operation on December 1, 2018 - December 1, 2022.
