Dong Xoai is the capital city of Binh Phuoc province, Southeast region, Vietnam.

Dong Xoai City is about 100 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. This is the political, economic, cultural and social center of Binh Phuoc province, with a convenient location, located at the intersection between National Highway 14 and Provincial Road 741, connecting with provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City. Chi Minh, Binh Duong, Dong Nai... Currently, the whole city has more than 20 ethnic groups living together.

Geographical location
Dong Xoai city is located in the south of Binh Phuoc province, geographically located:

The West borders Chon Thanh town and Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province
The remaining sides are bordered by Dong Phu district.
Dong Xoai is 101 km from Ho Chi Minh City, about 90 km from Hoa Lu international border gate. Dong Xoai has important roads such as National Highway 14, inter-provincial road DT741 (Provincial Road 741) which are the arterial roads connecting the Central Highlands with Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodia. In addition, in the city, there is Le Quy Don street (DT753) going to Dong Nai province. In the future, there will be a railway from Dak Nong province passing Dong Xoai to Thi Vai port in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Topographic
Located at an average altitude of 88.63 m, Dong Xoai can be classified as a transitional highland with a hilly terrain that gradually lowers from the Northeast to the Southwest with two main terrain types. Low undulating terrain, distributed mostly in the city, mainly red soil develops on basalt soil and gray soil develops on ancient alluvium. The terrain is low-lying, interspersed with wavy low-hill terrain, the common soil on this terrain is sloping soil, humus...

Climate
Dong Xoai is divided into two distinct seasons. The rainy season usually starts in May and lasts until October. The dry season lasts from October of the previous year to the end of April of the following year. The average annual rainfall is about 2,598 ml evenly distributed throughout the months. In the last months of the rainy season and the beginning of the dry season, the weather is often chilly at night. In the dry season, daytime temperatures are usually the highest in the country, however, the high temperature lasts only for about a month and then gradually decreases. In general, Dong Xoai climate is warm and sunny all year round, with an average temperature of about 26.7 0 C, with high temperature all year round, high humidity and abundant light source, very favorable for the development of short-term industrial crops. and long days. The climate of Dong Xoai is relatively mild, with few natural disasters such as storms and floods.

Resources
Dong Xoai has rich land resources, with a total natural area of 168.48 km², of which 40,627 ha of land of medium or higher quality suitable for agro-forestry production is 40,627 ha, accounting for 27. 59 % area; high fertility land accounts for 11,894 ha, basalt red soil accounts for 3,343 ha, poor quality soil is only 2,128 ha. In general, the land of Dong Xoai has a fairly thick weathering layer, which is suitable for the cultivation of industrial crops, especially rubber and cashew trees. In Dong Xoai area, there are 315 ha of planted forest (Tan Thanh commune has 270 ha; Tien Hung commune has 45 ha), there is no natural forest. In the ground of Dong Xoai, there are a number of non-metallic minerals with large reserves. In two communes Tan Thanh, Tien Hung and Tien Thanh ward, there are red gravel minerals with reserves of about 3.6 million m3; construction stone has a reserve of about 40 million m3; In two wards Tan Xuan and Tien Thanh, there are clay minerals with a reserve of 8 million m3… Minerals are a source of raw materials for the development of the construction industry. Dong Xoai water resources include groundwater and surface water. Groundwater is concentrated in the southern part of the city. The underground water source has 03 water storage layers with good quality. The average depth of groundwater is 60–100 m. Groundwater flow is from 5-9 liters/second, in low-lying areas it can be from 9-12 liters/second. Surface water sources in the city area are about 101.35 ha, large rivers, lakes and dams such as: Song Be runs along the western boundary of the city about 10–12 km; Suoi Rat runs along the southeast boundary of the city; Suoi Cam, Suoi Song Rinh, Suoi Sam Bring, Suoi Drip, Lake Ta Mon (Tan Thanh), Phuoc Hoa Dam (Tien Hung commune) ... are the main water sources for agriculture, industry and daily life.
